Open the bonnet, identify where you would check the engine oil level and tell me how you would check that the engine has sufficient oil. – Locate dipstick – check max & min marker.

If it is to be topped up NEVER EVER undo cap until the engine is cold or you will be scalded with a pressurized jet of water.

Show me / explain how you would check that the power assisted steering is working before starting a journey.- Steering is heavy whilst engine is off, pull lightly on steering wheel and start engine, steering should become noticeably lighter. (Ensure precautionary checks before starting engine)
